Sunshine Hutterite Colony in Hussar, Alberta, was founded in 1956 as a division from the Cayley Hutterite Colony.

A daughter colony of the Sunshine Hutterite Colony is the Wintering Hills Hutterite Colony (Hussar, Alberta, Canada).

In 2021 the Sunshine Hutterite Colony was a Dariusleut colony.
