Bread of Life Mennonite Church (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada)
Bread of Life Mennonite Church in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, was established in 2006 after a group from First Mennonite Church in Saskatoon left in order to create a different kind of worship experience. The group met in homes, with attendance ranging from four to 20 people. At first the church had a paid pastor, but after eight months, the group transitioned to working with external speakers and lay leadership. All were involved on a weekly basis, including both young and old, and the church tried to meet the needs of those beyond the church, including serving in a local soup kitchen. The congregation joined Mennonite Church Saskatchewan in February 2010 and Mennonite Church Canada in July of the same year.
The church held its final service on 5 May 2013.
