Living Faith Mennonite Church (Walker, Missouri, USA)
The Living Faith Mennonite Church near Walker, Missouri, USA was established in 1965. The congregation had its roots in families within the Bethany congregation at Rich Hill, Missouri, who were seeking a location for a neighboring congregation. The Colonization Board of the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite investigated, and in 1959 purchased two farms and an unfinished block building owned by a Mennonite Church (MC) group that was moving to Kansas. The building was located in the northwest part of Walker. Families began to move in late 1959 and 1960.
Initially, the families worshiped at Rich Hill, about 20 miles away, but longed for their own church. The congregation formally organized on 8 January 1965.
The Faith Mennonite School began in 1978 in an old home. When a new church building was erected in 1980, the former building was converted for use as a school. In 1995 the school moved to a new building just west of the church.
In 2020 the congregation was part of the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite. The ministers were Shelby Koehn, Ron Koehn, and Robert Smith.
