Hillside Hutterite Colony in Sweetgrass, Montana, was founded in 1951 as a division from the Sunny Site Hutterite Colony.

Daughter colonies of the Hillside Hutterite Colony include: Rimrock Hutterite Colony (Sunburst, Montana, USA); and Horizon Hutterite Colony (Cut Bank, Montana, USA).

In 2017 Hillside Hutterite Colony was a Lehrerleut colony.
