Spring Valley Hutterite Colony in Shilo, Manitoba, was founded in 1956 as a division from the James Valley Hutterite Colony.
Daughter colonies of the Spring Valley Hutterite Colony include: Wellwood Hutterite Colony (Ninette, Manitoba, Canada) and Green Acres Hutterite Colony (Wawanesa, Manitoba, Canada).
In 2017 the Spring Valley Hutterite Colony was a Schmiedeleut Group 2 colony.
