The Grand River Hutterite Christian Community was founded in 2013 as a division from the Elmendorf Christian Community (Mountain Lake, Minnesota, USA).

In 2019 the Grand River Christian Community was an independent [Schmiedeleut|Schmiedeleut]] colony.
