New Rockport Hutterite Colony near Choteau, Montana, was founded in 1948 as a division from the New Rockport Hutterite Colony (New Dayton, Alberta, Canada).

Daughter colonies of the New Rockport Hutterite Colony (Montana) include: Glendale Hutterite Colony (Cut Bank, Montana, USA); and Pleasant Valley Hutterite Colony (Belt, Montana, USA).

In 2017 the New Rockport Hutterite Colony was a Lehrerleut colony.
