Downie Lake Hutterite Colony in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan, was founded in 1958 as a division from the Wolf Creek Hutterite Colony.

Daughter colonies of the Downie Lake Hutterite Colony include: Ponteix Hutterite Colony (Ponteix, Saskatchewan, Canada); and Ear View Hutterite Colony (Gull Lake, Saskatchewan, Canada).

In 2017 the Downie Lake Hutterite Colony was a Dariusleut colony.
