Cornelis Jansz, an Anabaptist martyr, was burned at the stake at Amsterdam on 12 March 1569 (see also Clement Henricksz). He was a seaman of Haarlem, Dutch province of North Holland. He had not yet been baptized, and in spite of admonition and torture, remained "stubborn" and was put to death along with Jan Quirijnsz and Willem Jansz.
