Grass Ranch Hutterite Colony in Kimball, South Dakota was founded in 1990 (Hofer says 1992) as a division from the Platte Hutterite Colony. In 2012 Grass Ranch Hutterite Colony was a Schmiedeleut Group 2 colony. The minister was Melvin Wipf and the manager was Leonard Waldner.
