Johan van Wynssem (d. 1535)

Johan (Jan) van Wynssem (called Johan de Jonge) was an Anabaptist belonging to the patrician van Wynssem family at Deventer, Dutch province of Overijssel, who like some other members of this family joined the Anabaptists and shared the revolutionary principles of Jan van Leyden, who baptized Johan at Münster about 17 February 1534. Johan van Wynssem was arrested on 28 January 1535, and after a trial beheaded at the Brink square at Deventer on 6 February 1535.
