Absolon de Zanger (Absolon van Combe, van Tomme), an Anabaptist martyr, a weaver by trade, was burned at the stake 20 November 1561, at Kortrijk in Flanders, together with Willem van Haverbeke. Van Braght wrongly places this martyrdom in 1558.
