Prook family
Prook, a Dutch Mennonite family found at Aalsmeer, Province of North Holland since at least the 17th century. Some members of this family have been preachers of the "Oude Vermaning" (Frisians) on the Uiterweg, namely, Cornelis (Pieters) Prook serving 1746-ca.1880, Gerrit Jansen Prook 1786-ca.1825, Pieter Gerrits Prook, preacher 1810, elder 1850-d.1855, and Willem Cornelis Prook 1855-d.1860.
