Ribstone Hutterite Colony was founded in 1960 as a division from the Camrose Hutterite Colony (Camrose, Alberta, Canada).
A daughter colony of the Ribstone Hutterite Colony is the Fort Pitt Hutterite Colony (Frenchman Butte, Saskatchewan, Canada).
In 2017 the Ribstone Hutterite Colony was a Dariusleut colony.
