Willem Vernon (d. 1570)
Willem (de Snijder) Vernon, an Anabaptist martyr of Hondschote, Belgium, was arrested on 4 May 1570, during a meeting of a congregation held at Tillegem near Bruges, Belgium, with four other brethren, two of whom recanted, but the remaining three were soon burned at the stake. Willem's wife at first escaped but later was caught and executed. The Martyrs' Mirror erroneously gives 1568 as the year of these martyrdoms.
This is the same person as Willem de Snyder (d. 1570)
