Hephzibah Mennonite Church (Hephzibah, Georgia, USA)
Burkeland Mennonite Church is located in Waynesboro, Georgia. The church was organized in 1963 as a member of the Virginia Mennonite Conference. In 1972 the Hephzibah and Burkeland congregations helped to form the Southeastern Mennonite Conference and eventually constituted the Georgia-Carolina District of the conference along with Barnwell Mennonite Church in South Carolina.
In 1995 the Southeastern Mennonite Conference blessed the Georgia-Carolina District churches in establishing their own denomination, the South Atlantic Mennonite Conference.
In 2014 the church had 52 members. The ministerial team was comprised of Bishop Timothy J. Myers and Minister Glendon Eshleman.
