Diksmuide (West-Vlaanderen, Belgium)

Diksmuide (Dixmuiden; French, Dixmude) is a city in West Flanders in Belgium (coodinates: 51° 2′ 0″ N, 2° 52′ 0″ E) with about 15,500 inhabitants (2008), where there was a small Anabaptist church in the 16th century. On 4 March 1581 a conference of Dutch Mennonite Waterlanders, meeting at Amsterdam, decided to elect a preacher at Diksmuide.
