Connect Community Church in Winnipeg, Manitoba began in 2005 when five families from Westwood Community Church in Winnipeg established a new work in the St. James community. Their goal was to engage people who were not comfortable in a church setting. The church was led by Sean Sagert and they met on Sunday evenings at St. James Assiniboia 55+ Centre. The church formally organized in 2010 and joined the Manitoba Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches that year.

The church held its last service in July 2013
