Evert Jacobs Ley was a Mennonite preacher of Emden, East Friesland, Germany, where he delivered a funeral sermon, Lykreden op Wytse de Vries (published Amsterdam, 1727). This shows that he was a preacher, though his name is not found in the Emden list of preachers. In 1730-ca. 1737, he was a preacher at Kampen, Dutch province of Overijssel. Further information was not available.
