Rupelmonde (Oost-Vlaanderen, Belgium)
Rupelmonde (Rijpermonde), a town in Belgium (coordinates: 51° 7′ 34″ N, 4° 17′ 27″ E), the scene of the execution of the martyrs Hendrik Verstralen and Maeyken Deynoots in 1571. In a letter Verstralen expressed his expectation that the congregation of which he was a member would take care of his wife and children. This may refer to a congregation of Rupelmonde, but nothing further is known of it.
