Regier, Cornelius (1795-1859)

Cornelius Regier, minister: b. 18 June 1795 in Tralauerfeld, Prussia, the eldest of four children of Gerhard Regier (1766-1813) and Anna (Regier) Regier (1770-1815). His father was the son of Elder Cornelius Regier (b.1743). Cornelius married Anna von Riesen (b. 5 October 1797, Tralau, Prussia - d. 20 July 1865, Tralauerfeld, Prussia) on 3 April 1821. She was the daughter of Cornelius von Riesen (1764-1848) and Helena (Born) von Riesen (1767-1852). Cornelius and Anna had at least four children: Gerhard, Helena, Margaretha and Maria. Cornelius d. 19 November 1859 in Tralauerfeld, Prussia and was buried in Heubuden.

Cornelius was ordained as a minister in the Heubuden Mennonite Church in Prussia in 1831.
