Kaan family
Kaan is a Dutch Mennonite family. Numerous representatives of this family are found from at least the 17th century in a number of congregations in the province of North Holland, such as Barsingerhorn-Kolhorn, Wieringerwaard, and Zijpe. They usually were farmers. Many of them served as deacons. They are scattered all over North Holland.
