Wellwood Hutterite Colony in Ninette, Manitoba, was founded in 1967 as a division from the Spring Valley Hutterite Colony (Shilo, Manitoba, Canada).

A daughter colony of the Wellwood Hutterite Colony is the CanAm Hutterite Colony (Margaret, Manitoba, Canada).

In 2025 the Wellwood Hutterite Colony was a Schmiedeleut Group 2 colony.
