Sprucewood Hutterite Colony in Brookdale, Manitoba, was founded in 1976 (Hofer says 1977)[1] as a division from the Spring Hill Hutterite Colony (Springhill, Manitoba, Canada).

A daughter colony of the Sprucewood Hutterite Colony is the Fairway Hutterite Colony (Douglas, Manitoba, Canada).

In 2025 the Sprucewood Hutterite Colony was a Schmiedeleut Group 2 colony.
