Abbey Hutterite Colony near Abbey, Saskatchewan, was founded in 1971 as a division from the Tompkins Hutterite Colony.

A daughter colony of the Abbey Hutterite Colony is the Pennant Hutterite Colony (Pennant, Saskatchewan, Canada).

In 2023 the Abbey Hutterite Colony was a Lehrerleut colony.
