Ewelme Hutterite Colony in Standoff, Alberta, was founded in 1927 (Hofer says 1925)[1] as a division from the East Cardston Hutterite Colony.

Daughter colonies of the Ewelme Hutterite Colony include: Cameron Hutterite Colony (Turin, Alberta, Canada); Enchant Hutterite Colony (Enchant, Alberta, Canada); and Raymore Hutterite Colony (Raymore, Saskatchewan, Canada).

In 2023 the Ewelme Hutterite Colony was a Dariusleut colony.
