Brantwood Hutterite Colony was founded in 1995 (Hofer says 1996) as a division from the Grand Hutterite Colony.

A daughter colony of the Brantwood Hutterite Colony is the Silverstream Hutterite Colony (Melville, Saskatchewan, Canada).

In 2021 the Brantwood Hutterite Colony was Schmiedeleut Group 2 colony.
