Morinville Hutterite Colony in Alcomdale, Alberta, was founded in 1971 as a division from the Sandhills Hutterite Colony.

A daughter colony of the Morinville Hutterite Colony is the Rochfort Hutterite Colony (Rochfort Bridge, Alberta, Canada).

In 2021 Morinville Hutterite Colony was a Dariusleut colony.
