Midland Hutterite Colony near Taber, Alberta, was founded in 1981 as a division from the Miami Hutterite Colony (Alberta).

A daughter colony of the Midland Hutterite Colony is the Evergreen Hutterite Colony (Taber, Alberta, Canada).

In 2017 the Midland Hutterite Colony was a Lehrerleut colony.
