Claesken (Klaesken), wife of Francoys (Frans) de Swarte, born at Meteren, Flanders, an Anabaptist martyr, was put to death on 3 October 1562 at Hondschoote, Flanders, Belgium, with her sister Proentgen, the wife of Karel van de Velde. The two women were drowned secretly in a tub, remaining steadfast in the truth.
