Jacques van Hulten (Verhulten), an Anabaptist martyr, was burned at the stake at Antwerp, Belgium, on 28 January 1573, together with Grietken van den Steene and Janneken Croecx. Jacques' wife Lynken Ghysseleers died as a martyr on 20 February 1573. Jacques is charged with the crimes of having left the Catholic Church, being rebaptized, having partaken in forbidden meetings in Antwerp and elsewhere.
