Manitoba Colony, [[Paraguay|Paraguay]], was founded in 1982 by [[Old Colony Mennonites|Old Colony Mennonite]] settlers from [[Chihuahua (Mexico)|Chihuahua]], Mexico, because of a shortage of arable land in the latter country.
