Peryne (Petronella) de Corte, an Anabaptist martyr, burned at the stake at Antwerp, Belgium, on 6 June 1573. Peryne, who was arrested when a Mennonite meeting at Antwerp was surprised by the police, confessed that she had often attended such meetings. She had not yet been (re) baptized.
