Acadia Hutterite Colony near Oyen, Alberta, was founded in 1954 as a division from the Crystal Spring Hutterite Colony (Magrath, Alberta, Canada).
Daughter colonies of the Acadia Hutterite Colony include: Haven Hutterite Colony (Fox Valley, Saskatchewan, Canada); Standard Hutterite Colony (Standard, Alberta, Canada); and Meridian Hutterite Colony (Acadia Valley, Alberta, Canada).
In 2023 the Acadia Hutterite Colony was aLehrerleut colony.
