Cristobal Arimjo moved to Choluteca in August 1999 and led the mission effort until Kevin Yoder arrived in August 2001 and served for three years. The congregation was formally established in December 2001.
Kevin Yoder was followed in ministry by Sylvan Stoltzfus and Ernest E. Helmuth. The congregation was no longer listed in the Mennonite Church Directory by 2012, closing sometime ca. 2010.
