Connect Community Church in Winnipeg, Manitoba began in 2005 when Westwood Community Church commissioned five couples to launch a second site in the Westwood suburb of Winnipeg. Known for a time as Discover Westwood and led by Sean Sagert, Connect Community wanted to target people from whom the regular programming in a church building would not be comfortable or appropriate. They met in several west Winnipeg locations.
After several years the group severed its ties with Westwood Community Church and in 2011 joined the Manitoba Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches, though it never chartered or had a formal membership. The church held its last service in July 2013
