Grass River Hutterite Colony was founded in 1974 (Hofer says 1972) as a division from the Grand Hutterite Colony. In 2012 the Grass River Hutterite Colony was a Schmiedeleut Group 2 colony. The minister was Joe Waldner and the manager was Calvin Waldner.
