Kaaskooper (Caeskooper) is a Dutch Mennonite family found in the province of [[North Holland (Netherlands)|North Holland]]. Jan Janse Kaeskooper (1627-1699), whose family was living at [[Alkmaar (Noord Holland, Netherlands)|Alkmaar]] by 1580, was a preacher of the [[Flemish Mennonites|Flemish]] congregation at Alkmaar 1654-1674 and from then until his death, of the Alkmaar [[Waterlanders|Waterlander]] congregation. Kaaskooper (Caeskooper) is a Dutch Mennonite family found in the province of North Holland. Jan Janse Kaeskooper (1627-1699), whose family was living at Alkmaar by 1580, was a preacher of the Flemish congregation at Alkmaar 1654-1674 and from then until his death, of the Alkmaar Waterlander congregation. He was commemorated by his colleague Jan Bosch in Zedige Redenvoering (Alkmaar, 1699). Claas Arentse Kaaskooper, a member of the Koog-Zaandijk congregation, was active in behalf of the persecuted Swiss Mennonites in 1710. In the 18th century some members of the Kaaskooper family were active in the Collegiant movement.
