Andreas Wiszowaty (1608-1678), a Unitarian theologian, great-grandson of Fausto Sozzini, studied in Leiden, Holland, in 1631, served the Unitarian church in Poland until he was expelled in 1658, traveled in Hungary, lived at Mannheim, Germany, 1663-66, and from then until his death in Amsterdam. He is said to have published 62 writings, some of which influenced the Dutch Mennonites. Wiszowaty also co-operated in the revision of the Rakow catechism.
In the early 18th century a Wiszowaty family, four sisters, probably great-granddaughters of Andreas, were baptized into the Amsterdam Zonist congregation, in 1713, 1716(?), 1718, and 1721.
