Joos de Hoymaekere (Hatmaker), an Anabaptist martyr, was burned at the stake on 22 June 1569 at Antwerp, Belgium, with Jasper Hermansz. He had been rebaptized, attended Mennonite meetings, and participated in their communion service six months before he was arrested.
