Wouter (Gaultier van der Weyden), an Anabaptist martyr, was burned at the stake at Ghent, Belgium on 11 April 1551. Wouter, who was a native of Lier in the Belgian province of Brabant, had fled with some others to Ghent, but they were soon arrested and imprisoned in the Gravensteen castle.
