To the Dutch province of [[Friesland (Netherlands)|Friesland]] belong three islands, [[Ameland (Friesland, Netherlands)|Ameland]], Schiermonnikoog, and [[Terschelling (Friesland, Netherlands)|Terschelling]]. Jacob Claassen, an elder 1612-1638, baptized five new members here at one time.
