The Christian Fellowship Chapel near Stratton, Ontario began services in 1967, and formally organized in 1974. The first building was occupied in 1969, with a subsequent building program in 1973. The congregation originated through immigration from Mexico and Manitoba. The congregation was affiliated with the Evangelical Mennonite Conference in 1969. The language of worship was English; the transition from German occurred in the 1970s. The congregation developed difficulties with the Evangelical Mennonite Conference in the 1990s, and distanced itself from the conference over a number of years. In July 2000 the Stratton Christian Fellowship was released from the conference.

In 1975 there were 60 members; in 1985, 75; in 1994, 55.
