Jacob Isaacs van Bebber, a member of the [[Krefeld (Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany)|Krefeld]] Mennonite Church, acquired 1,000 acres of land from William Penn through Benjamin Furly on 11 June 1683, and was one of the first six Krefeld land buyers in America. He was temporarily the agent of Dirk Sipman of Krefeld, who had on 10 March 1682, bought 5,000 acres of Penn, but did not emigrate. He came to Germantown in 1687, moved to Philadelphia before 1698. He died September 1705 at Earlsville, Cecil County, Maryland. He was the father of Isaac Jacobs van Bebber and Matthias Jacobs van Bebber.
