Newdale Hutterite Colony was founded in 1974 (Hofer says 1972) as a division from the Bon Homme (Manitoba) Hutterite Colony.

A daughter colony of the Newdale Hutterite Colony is the Cool Spring Hutterite Colony (Polonia, Manitoba, Canada).

In 2017 the Newdale Hutterite Colony was a Schmiedeleut Group 1 colony.
