The New Rosedale Hutterite Bruderhof, 15 miles (25 km.) southwest of Portage la Prairie, Manitoba, was founded in 1944 by Andreas Hofer and 11 families from the Rosedale Bruderhof near Elie, Manitoba. In 1947 the population of the colony was 87, of whom 32 were baptized members.
Daughter colonies of the New Rosedale Hutterite Colony include: Forest River Hutterite Colony (Inkster, North Dakota, USA); FAirholme Hutterite Colony (Portage la Prairie, Manitoba, Canada); Airport Hutterite Colony (Macdonald, Manitoba, Canada); and Pine Creek Hutterite Colony (Austin, Manitoba, Canada).
In 2017 the colony was a member of the the Schmiedeleut Group 2.
