Pleuntgen van der Goes (Apollonia Lonts Jansdochter), an Anabaptist martyr from Goes, Dutch province of Zeeland, was drowned in a tub on 19 March 1559, in the Antwerp prison called the "Steen," together with Naentgen, a leather merchant, and the midwife Fransken, because they persisted in their faith. They are celebrated in the hymn "Aenhoort Godt, hemelsche Vader" (Hear, O God, heavenly Father), found in the Lietboecxken. Further particulars about Pleuntgen are lacking.
