Van Male is a family name of Mennonites in Flanders and at Amsterdam. Cornelis Jansz van Male was a preacher and elder of the Old Flemish congregation meeting at "de Kruikjes" at Amsterdam. He died about 1620 at a very advanced age. Among the Mennonite martyrs found in Offer and Martyrs' Mirror are Pieter van Male and Marijntgen and Pierijntgen van Male, all of Ghent, Belgium, and executed there in 1562 and 1564.
