The Saskatchewan Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches was organized in 1946 as an annual gathering of ministers, including two sub-districts (North and South) with semiannual gatherings. In 1957 it had 26 congregations with a total baptized membership of 2,301 (North 1,467, South 834). The conference devoted its attention to matters of local or provincial nature, including home missions, ministers' conferences, Bible conferences, etc.
