Neuteichsdorf (also known as Nytyska Wieś, Neuteichdorf, and Neuteichsdorferfeld; now known as Stawiec; coordinates: 54.144791, 19.013729 [54° 8′ 41″ N, 19° 00′ 49″ E]; population in 1905, 390), is located approximately 3 kilometres (2 miles) west of Nowy Staw (Neuteich), 13 km. (8 mi.) north of Malbork (Marienburg), and 34 km. (21 mi.) south-east of the regional capital Gdańsk (Danzig).
Neuteichsdorf was established during the colonization campaign at the end of the 16th century. Until 1772 Neuteichsdorf was part of the Kingdom of Poland. The First Partition of Poland in 1772 resulted in the creation of a new province in 1773, called West Prussia, in which Neuteichsdorf was located. Neuteichsdorf was situated in the district (Kreis) of Marienburg until the establishment of the Free City of Danzig in 1920. The village came under the control of Nazi Germany during World War II until February 1945, when it was occupied by Soviet forces and returned to Poland. In 2012 Neuteichsdorf (now Stawiec) was a village in the administrative district of Gmina Nowy Dwór Gdański, within Nowy Dwór Gdański County, Pomeranian Voivodeship.
The Prussian census of 1776 lists seven Mennonite families in Neuteichsdorferfeld with the following surnames: Claasen, Penner, Peters, Wieb, Willms, and Woelcke. In 1820 the village had 239 inhabitants with 48 Mennonites.
Mennonites in Neuteichsdorf were members of the Ladekopp Mennonite Church.
